Garage Door Bearing Bracket

Product Description

Most of torsion spring garage door system uses bearing brackets along the length of the torsion tube. These bearings are connected or supported by hardware in the middle by center support brackets, also designated "spring anchor brackets."

End Bearing Plates

The end bearing brackets are attached to the angle and garage headers on the horizontal track. The sides of these end bearing plates are determined by the center line of the tube shaft. This is the distance the bearing plate allows from the center of the shaft to the garage header. In most cases, the necessary center line is determined by the drum radius.

Spring Anchor Brackets

The spring anchor bracket is slotted without a bearing attached or fixed to the bracket.

Spring anchor brackets with fixed bearings are measured from the center line of the shaft to the garage header. This size is usually determined by the end bearing bracket and the torsion spring diameter, which is determined by the cable drum installed on the garage door.
